Scandinavian How-To Project: Entryway Pegboard with Mirror, Shelves and Hooks
Posted 07/19/2018 by The Dimensions™ DIY Team
After publishing our post on Scandinavian design last time, your loyal DimensionsTM DIY Team is back to share another how-to project — and there was nothing we wanted to showcase more than our current obsession: Ultra-Scandi giant pegboards with oversized dowels.
While getting down to DIY-business, we soon discovered we couldn't stop there. We just had to jazz it up with a mirror (or a chalkboard or markerboard works too), and we gave it modular shelves, allowing you the versatility to create the perfect piece for your needs in your space. Here’s how it turned out. And yup, we love it too.
If left unfinished — and if you actually need to purchase all the necessary items— you can make this fun and functional pegboard for approximately $30.
TIP: If the store where you buy your project panel offers complimentary cutting, bring your how-to instructions with you and ask them to cut it into the sizes you'll need:
If you decide to finish your pegboard with paint or stain, here are a few ultra-Scandi looks for inspiration:
Paint your pegboard and leave the dowel shelves natural
or paint those too!

Stain it and/or paint-dip the dowel ends
We hope you love this funky, handy, inexpensive project as much as we do. And we’d love to hear your comments, answer your questions and definitely see your photos too. So leave us a comment below.
