Reclaimed Pallet Board How-to Project: Address Plate

Posted 06/22/2018 by The Dimensions™ DIY Team

With some basic tools and about an hour, you can make this Reclaimed Pallet Board address plate for your home. It really ups the curb appeal and stands out from your average address numbers.

All it takes is one pack of 1 x 4 x 40" Reclaimed Pallet Boards, one 1" x 2" x 4’ pine board, some finishing nails and your address numbers.

Just use a saw to cut up your pallet boards to the size you like, arrange them in a pattern you prefer, nail it together using a pine board backing and BOOM! DONE.

If you're putting your address plate out in the weather, look into using a weather-resistant polyurethane to extend the life of your address plate.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A word of caution when working with repurposed pallet wood. Not all pallet boards are as safe as you want them to be. We recommend using only boards that come from a reliable, trusted source. DimensionsTM Reclaimed Pallet Boards are domestically sourced, thoroughly tested and carefully selected for only the safest, VOC- and heavy metal-free boards.
