Sorry to mention it, but summer is fading. The days are getting shorter and the nights are growing cooler. But this time of year also never fails to inspire and invigorate our creativity. So while fall may mean flannels and football, for us DIYers, it's about the excitement of new seasonal décor too!
That's why – before fall officially arrives on September 23rd (for those keeping track) – we thought we'd look at how the trendiest among us will soon be welcoming autumn into their homes.

Via a wonderful thought - diy flower cart
Mums are a fall staple, usually found in gorgeous, jewel-toned colors like orange, yellow, brown and red. That's why they really pop in this white, DIY cart placed on the porch. Awfully cute, don't ya think?

Give the squirrels a run for their money by foraging enough pine cones and acorns to make this really cool wreath. Although you would go through a ton of glue sticks in order to pull this project off, it's very festive nonetheless!
Via wantamalas -painted acorns
If you've got access to acorns, this is a super cool way to turn nature's splendor into modern art! White paint and glitter turn these otherwise ordinary nuts into fall flair! And what a great idea for a wreath or centerpiece that makes the transition right into the winter holidays too.

Paying homage to our popular Bohemian trend post, we love these painted bottles wrapped a variety of ways using nothing more than humble twine. Great vibe here! This would make amazing DIY fall wedding décor.

The addition of a few interesting fall elements really sells this otherwise typical décor sign. In fact, those painted and glittered acorns above would be perfect!
Via pinterest - mason jar scarecrow
Mason jars love sneaking it into our posts, so why would this one be an exception? They're such an underrated, affordable, versatile craft item! Seriously, check out this whimsical scarecrow. If you're even moderately good with a paint brush, you can create super cute results.

This one took us a second ... and then did not disappoint! Who knew Mason jar lids could be just as versatile as their counterpart?! Darling project!

A is for Adorable. And a perfect way to upcycle yard refuse!

With an abundance of rustic charm, project boards and reclaimed pallet boards are ideal for creating personalized, one-of-a-kind fall décor.
Via etsy - seasonal fall sign
We're suckers for a fresh twist on a basic concept, so we're really digging how this reverse-stencil allows the warm, stained wood grain to take center stage.
Therefore, since it's been a minute since we've done a project with paint and stencils, this great idea became too good to pass up. In a few shorts weeks, with just a pack of craft panels, we'll sketch up some designs and show you how you can make a set of seasonal décor signs you'll love displaying for years to come.
As always, stick with us and we'll show you how to achieve the looks you love for less.
